    The article says “14 of them were positive for BMAA with levels ranging from less than 1 to more than 100 ?g/g”. However, the actual research paper says “BMAA in the collected specimens was detected at concentrations lower than 1 ?g/g”.

    This may still be a problem, but is >100-fold different from “more than 100 ?g/g”. That much higher level referred to other substances, not BMAA.

    Also, it seems there were only 5 products tested, not 39, and some of these contained as much as 80% non-Spirulina ingredients. So it’s hard to draw conclusions about Spirulina itself.
